The Coalition for Assistance and Relief Everywhere (C.A.R.E.) Program will engage vulnerable seniors in innovative ways to address the social isolation-induced by the pandemic. Because seniors are more likely to fall through the health and social care system's cracks, these programs go beyond typical forms to reach those who have previously encountered hurdles to support. Those involved will include members of the Black, Indigenous, and LGBTQ2S communities. These efforts realize that many seniors want to learn new skills, share their expertise, and interact with others. Seniors that fall into this demographic are invited to take part in the programs at no cost.
